At a Church Meeting held at Bullettsburg on Saturday 2nd of January 1813
Brother Matthews Moderator
Bro'r Whitaker laid in a complaint against his black woman (a member of this Church) by the name of Siller, for Disobedience of orders, for going to dancing frolicks & for departing fom the truth,
The matter was taken up & she being absent, Bro'r Wm. Montague is appointed to cite her to the next meeting.
The reference respecting Bro. Thomas Yowell was taken up & he was found guilty of sin & satisfaction not being obtained he was Excluded
On the motion of Bro'r Wm. Montague Bro'r Goss is invited to act as Moderator in turn with those before appointed
Agreed that our next monthly meeting be at Bro'r Absalom Graves.

Brother Wm. Montague Moderator
Brother Matthews laid in a charge against Amos a black member belonging to Major Philip Craig, for playing the fiddle, for playing at cards & for leaving his wife & taking up with another. The matter was taken up and he being absent, bro'r Wm. Montague is appointed to cite him to the next meeting -
Matthew a black member belonging to bro. Wm. Cave complained against Tom a black member belonging to Bro'r Benj'n Watts, for be having very disorderly & declaring that he would not live in the churcfh. The matter was taken up, & he being absent Bro'r Edward Graves was requested to cite him to the next meeting -
Another complaint By bro'r Wm. Cave against his Simeon Christy for attending dancing parties and dancing himself. The matter was taken up, he also being absent bro'r Absalom Graves is requested to cite him to the next meeting. -
The referenc concerning Bro'r Whitaker's black woman was taken up, but she being absent through inablility The matter was continued
Landon Robinson & Jeremiah Cave was received members of this Church by letters of recommendation Bro'r. Whitaker is appointed to act as singing Clerk with those before appointed to that office
It is also agreed that Tuesday the 16th of the present month be set apart as a day of fasting & prayer & mourning with this Church, & that we meet at Bullettsburg on that day at ten Oclock -

Bro'r A Graves Moderator
Bro'r Edmund Garnett laid in a complaint against Charles a black member belonging to Nathan Watts for being being guilty of the act of purloining, the matter was taken up and he being absent, Bro'r James Garnett is appointed to cite him to the next meeting.
The matter concerning Philip Craig's Amos was taken up & he was found guilty of sin, but failling to attend & give satisfaction was Excommunicated.
The reference respecting bro'r Watt's Tom was taken up & hes was found guilty of sin, & failing to give satisfaction was Excluded
The reference concerning Simeon Christie was also taken up, & he likewise was found guilty of sin & failing to give satisfaction was also Excluded.
On motion of bro. James Dicken, Bro'r Landon Robinson is encouraged to Exercise a publick gift in any way that me may think proper.
The following ought to have been recorded among the other references touching fellowship, but was overlooked by the Church.
The reference respecting Bro'r Whitaker's Siller was taken up, & She was found guilty of sin, but by her making satisfactory acknowledgement she was acquited.

At a Church meeting held at Bullettsburg on Saturday 5th of June 1813 -
Bro'r Absalom Graves Moderator
Bro'r James Graves laid in a complaint against Bro'r James Thomas for getting angry and entering into combat with a man, the matter was taken up & he being absent, Bro'r Ja's Allen was appointed to request him to come to the next meeting & answer the charges alleged against him -
Received a letter from Bro'r Martin Wilson praying the Church to cut him from among them, stating that he believd he did not profess religion. The matter was taken up & he was found guilty of wrong. he being about to start to the army Bro'r Morris & Bro'r John Terrill was appointed to see him respecting of the matter and make a report to the next meeting.
A motion was amde by bro'r Wm. Montague in behalf of the black brethren, to know whether they might appoint meetings contrary to a former act of the Church, or whither (if they wanted a meeting contrary to that act) they should as leave of the Church, the matter was taken up and determined that they should ask leave.

Bro'r Wm. Montague Moderator
The Brethren that were appointed to see bro'r Martin Wilson respecting the letter he wrote to the Church report his reasons to be as follows, that he had been for sometime past in the habit of gambling at Cards & dice &c and acknowledg to be sorry for the same, after hearing the report the Church agreed to lay the matter over till his return from the army
The reference respecting bro'r James Thomas was taken up, & he was found guilty of sin, and still failing to attend & give satisfaction was suspended
On motion of bro'r Wm. Montague's the Church has agreed that the clerk & deacons aportion a sum from ten to fiteen dollars on the members of this Church for the support of the funds & report the same at next meeting.
A letter of dismission was granted to bro'r John Cornelius

The reference respecting Bro'r James Thomas taken. satisfaction obtain'd & he acquited.
The brethren that were appointed to make an aportionment on the members of the church, produced the list of aportionment to the amount of $14.87 1/2 which was approved of by the Church.
Bro'r George Gaines came forward and setled with the Church as treassurer, whose account of Expenditures exactly balance the collection of the last year -
Bro'r Matthews and Bro'r A Graves are appointed to write a letter to the next association & Brethren A Graves, C Matthews J Hawkins & Wm Montague as messengers to bear the same.
Bro'r Martin Wilson having returned from the army the refernce respecting him was taken up. & his failing to attend & give satisfaction was Excommunicated.

Brother T. Whitaker Brought a Complaint against bro'r John Love for getting intoxicated & entering into an affray. The matter was taken up & brother Love absent, bro'r Wm. Cave was appointed to cite him to attend the enxt meeting
The reference respecting our late sister Polly Ryle was taken up, & after a full investigation of her conduct she was found guilty of sin & excluded
Brother James Thomas came forward & let the Church know that [he] had playing at fives, the matter was taken up & he was found guilty of sin but his making satisfactory acknowledgement was acquited
Brother Wm. Cloud requested the Church to erase his name from her record stating that he was not a fitt subject for society, neither had he any inclination or desire to live any longer therein - he also was unwilling to abide by the counsel of the Church,
The Church considered his request, found him guilty of sin & Excluded him.

Brother, Abraham Depew, came forward to this Church with a complaint against him Self for drinking two much spiritous lickor, the matter was tacken up, and he found guilty of sin, and the matter was investigated and he was acquitted
brother John Terrills, Sam, came forward to this Church with a complaint agains him Self for committing the sin of adultery, and the matter was tacken up, and he found guilty of sin and this matter was investigated and he suspended.
brother John Terrills, Daphny, came forward with a complaint against hur Self for committing the act of fornication and the matter was tacken up, and She found guilty of sin and the matter was investigated and She Suspended
The reference respecting of brother John Love, was tacken up and he found guilty of sin, the matter was investigated and he still failling to attend was excluded
On a motion by brother william Montague that we appint a day of fasting and prayer and that we do appoint next thursday weak for that purpose -

brother Shadrick Rossell, brought in a complaint against him Self for entering in an affray with a man, and the matter was tacking up and investigated and he found guilty of Sin, and he was acquitted on his macking an acknowlidgment
On a motion of William Montague that we do appoint our next meeting to be a communion seson

Brother William Montague brought in a complaint against Sister Nancy Garnett for striking of hur husband & for living of his house in a disordley manner and for drinking two much whisky. The matter was tacking up, and the matter was investigated and she was found guilty of sin and its is agreed that the matter be lade over till next meeting and that we do appint brothers Andrew Brockman & Word to site hur to the Same.
The matter respecting William Dollans was tacking up, and the matter was investigated, and he found guilty of sin, and on macking sattisfactroly exknowledge ment he was acquitted -

A letter of dismission was granted to brother Daniel Conner and wife

Brother George Gains as treasurur came forward to this Church and on Settlement we find in his hands a ballance of $4.37 1/2 cents �
Brother William Cave brought in a complaint against brother David Hardy for absentinh him self out of the bounds of this Church for two years and from various reports of misconduct that he is guilty of and after investigation he is found guilty of sin and he being absent he is excluded �
On a motion by brother William Montague that we do appoint a day of fasting and prayer and that we do appoint next wensday weak for the same �

The reference respecting the repairs of the spring was taken up and refered till next meeting
From a request of the Church at the forks of Gunpowder for helps to assist in the ordination of a decon at there next meeting therefore it is a greed that brethren Chitester Mathews and Absalom Graves attend at there request.

The reference respecting bro. Sandford was taken up and he being absent bro. E. Graves who was appointed to cite him to this meeting reported that he had attended to the order of the Church and that he confesed that he had drank two much Spirits differant times the matter was taken up and he found guilty of sin and he was exclued �
The reference respecting the repairs of the Spring was taken up and the brothers reported that they had attended to the order of the Church and had fixed S'd Spring for use

Brother Mathews brought in a complaint a gainst bro. Joseph Graves' Roger jun'r and Nelly for fighting and maken use of il language � The matter was taken up and they being absent we do appoint bro. Word [Ward]. to cite them to the nex meeting
The refernce respecting bro. Dulany was taken up and the brethren that was appointed to Settle the difficulty attended to the order of the Church and that they got the brothers to gether and that the charges was substaneated a gainst bro. Elijah Dulany the matter was taken up and investigated and he found guilty of Sin and failing to give satisfaction he was suspended �
Brother Jamerson Hawkins is appointed to write a letter to the next association and brethren Absalom Graves, Chitister Mathews Jamerson Hawkins & William Montague as messengers to bare the Same.
on a motion by bro. Mathews that bro James Garnett is a bout to travel to virginia that we give him a Sirtificate of his Standing with us and it is allso granted to bro. Landon Roberson a like Sertificate �

The reference respecting Roger & Neely black members belonging to bro. Joseph Graves was taken up Roger being present and found guilty of Sin who made a satisfactory acknowledgement was restored
Nelly being absent & refusing to attend the call of the church was also found guilty of Sin and was excluded
The Church letter produced read & approved � and on the motion of bro A. Graves to add two members to the presant number now appointed as messengers to our next association. The Church proceeded to appoint brethren James Garnett & Landon Roberson in addition to the presant number
A greed that we commune at our next monthly meeting

On a motion by bro William Cave that we take into Consideration to build or add to our meeting house and its a greed that we appoint the brethren (to wit) William Montague, B. Word, Abraham Depew, Joseph Graves, Urial Sebree and Daniel Mosby as a Committee to draft a plan of the addition to gether with the cost of it and also the plan of buildind a new house together with the cost of that and report to the next meeting

A letter of dismission is granted to Sister Julia Dickman[?]

Bill (belonging) to bro' Terrill came and related a repentance for his backsliden State and was restored to the fellowship of the Church
On motion by bro' James Graves that we take into consideration that of purchasing a small peace of ground adjoining the meeting house, of Mr. Robert Willis. its a greed that brothers George Gains, James Graves, William Montague & Joseph Graves to confur with Mr. Willis, and report to the next meeting
On motion by the Clerk he is exonerated from the Clerkship and bro' Lewis Webb is appointed to fill his place

Likewise appointed brethren Hawkins & Tho. Whitaker to apply to Mudlick Church. Ward & Brockman to Dry Creek. Edw'd Graves & Th. Allen to Middle creek, Wm. Cave & John Terrill to Forks Gunpowder and James Dicken & Robt Kirtley to Bethel for helps to assist in his ordination
Motioned by bro. Mosby to consider the propriety of appointing more deacons the matter was taken up and agreed to appoint two at next meeting
Mr. John Cave's Fanny formerly a member of this Church was restored to fellowship

The matter being fully investigated and duly considered it is unanimously agreed that Bro. Montague is a proper subject for ordination and that the rites be performed tomorrow after the ministration of the word. Also the reference respecting the ordination of Brethren Robt Terrell & Robt Kirtley to the office of deacons in this church was taken up investigated and considered and unanimously agreed to and that the rites of ordination be performed also tomorrow at the same time.
