Are
Mormons Christians?
Stephen E. Robinson explores the accusations against
Mormons being Christians. He offers accounts, logical arguments and historically accepted
facts as reasons why "Mormons" are Christians. For anyone questioning whether
"Mormons" are Christians, this is the book to include in your quest. It is easy to read and
has references for further study. A useful book for both "Mormons" and
non-Mormons.

Is this book another testament of Jesus Christ, or a bunch of
bunk? Study it for yourself and decide. Quoting one objective reader: “Forgetting all
debates over the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the record does have a story to tell

An excellent
book for everyday-people about the YK2 computer bug. It looks at how the bug might
affect various jobs, utilities, transportation, banking, the stock market, food supplies, home
PC’s, news and information, health care, government, education, communication services
and much more. It gives “best-case” and “worst-case” senarios, and lets the reader decide
how, or even if, they want to prepare. The message behind this book is: “Be informed
and decide for yourself what course of action you will take (if any).” Highly
recommended.
The
Bantam New College German & English Dictionary
Out of several English &
German dictionaries I looked at, the Bantam New College Dictionary is THE best. It is
thorough and comprehensive, easy to use, and priced right too. An excellent resource to
help with German language.
The
Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning German on Your Own
Of all the books I
examined, this one was my favorite. It is especially useful when used in conjuction with a
book & tape course such as "Mastering German", below. This book takes something that
looks difficult, and makes it fun and easy to understand. It plainly explains pronunciation,
noun cases, noun gender, conversation needed in various social situations, and much more.

German Level I/2 Cassettes and Listening Guide
I really enjoyed this set. The
tape presentation was clear, giving opportunity to hear and practice pronunciation. The
booklet was a handy reference and explained some of the basics. This is a useful set for
either just dabbling in German...or used as "extra practice" in conjunction with a beginner's
book such as "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning German", above. It's a nice way to
ease into German before spending mega-bucks for an in-depth course. Great as a refresher,
or for drill and practice while driving, exercising or working around the house.
Mastering German Level 1/Book & 12 Audio Cassettes
This is a comprehensive
course that requires concentration and self-motivation. If you are looking for a breezy
course to dabble with, this isn't it. On the other hand, if you're serious about learning
German, this is THE course to invest in. It is an excellent tool for learning German, but
may leave some complete beginners perplexed. For total novices I suggest using this set in
conjunction with a "basics" book such as "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning
German", above. If you're motivated and willing to take time out to study, this is a superb
set.
