the son of Elisha and Sarah Gordon Sanders.

James married first Martha A. Gordon on January 31, 1880.
They were the parents of
Sarah Isabelle (born 1881) and Nellie Edgar (born June 10, 1883) Sanders.

James married second Clara Jane Goodwin on October 11, 1887.
They were the parents of
Desmond (1889 - 1908), Harriett (1891 - 1964) and
James (born September 20, 1892, after his father's death) Sanders.

James died July 04, 1892, Cairo, IL, due to a train accident with the Big 4 RR.
He is buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

Sarah Isabelle Sanders was born 1881, Hamilton Co, IL.
She married Alonzo Campbell on March 15, 1899.
They were on the 1900 Browning Twp., Franklin Co., IL, Census.
Isabelle and Lon were the parents of Lloyd.

Desmond Russell Sanders was born March 16, 1889, Mt. Carmel, Wabash Co., IL.
He died December 15, 1908, St. Louis, MO.
Desmond is buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, IL.

Harriett Aurelia Sanders was born January 27, 1891, Mt. Carmel, Wabash Co., IL.
Harriett was married twice.
She died March 15, 1964, Philadelphia, Pa.
She is buried at Fernwood Cemetery, Lansdowne, PA.
