Namaste (traditional Indian greeting, accompanied by the joining of palms), welcome to the city of almost 11 million people. Let's take a short tour through its history, which I've broadly classified into the following:

The Origins of Delhi - History before the Mughal empire (1400BC - 1526)
The Mughal Empire - 1526-1712 AD
Edwin Lutyen - The British Empire (till 1947)
