Descendants of Joseph J. Carmine

First Generation

1. Joseph J. Carmine was born in Maryland, Pos. Feb 1842. He was the son of John Carmine and Celiste/Salistia Arnold of Dorchester County Maryland. He died November 26, 1917 in Virginia. Joseph served in the CSA as soldier in NC Volunteers and on iron clad in CSA navy.

Joseph married ¹ Clara Pritchard, daughter of Miles Rufus Pritchard and Mary Ann Low, on 25 Dec 1867 in Elizabeth City, NC. Clara was born 1852 in Providence Twp., Pasquotank Co., NC. She died before 1889.

They had the following children:

				Ann married Ben Wood.
	3	M	ii	John Carmine was born about 1871 in North Carolina. He died before 1939.
	4	M	iii	Miles Edward Carmine was born about 1873 in North Carolina.
				Miles married Ruby Roland Hozier on 14 Nov 1912 in Norfolk, VA.
	5	M	iv	William Carmine was born about 1874. He died before 1939.
	6	F	v	Tenie Vaughn Carmine was born 29 Aug 1877 in Pasquotank Co., North Carolina. She died Jul 1936.
				Tenie married John Webb Smithson on 21 Jul 1898 in Pasquotank Co., North Carolina.
+	7	M	vi	Charles R. Carmine was born 19 Aug 1880 and died 4 Feb 1939.
