Rachel, the daughter of Buriah Short and Nancy Stinson, was born March 11, 1837, Vanderburg County, Indiana;
died August 23, 1901, Evansville, Indiana.

Rachel is buried in the Locust Hill Cemetery, Kratzville Road, Evansville, Indiana.
It is believed that William Goodwin is buried next to her, however, there is no grave marker for him.

She was the wife of William Jarrett Goodwin. They were married April 11, 1858, Evansville, IN.
