Gladys Irene Trout & Earl Luther Sanders

Gladys Irene (Trout) Leathers and her half brother Earl Luther Sanders.

Gladys was born December 10, 1918, in Haiti, Missouri to the parents of James
Andrew and Mary Lizabeth (Hurst) Trout. Her father and mother divorced in
1922. Mother and child moved back to Carmi, Illinois and her Mother later
married James Luther Sanders.

Earl Luther was born December 9, 1923, in
Carmi, Illinois to that marriage. He was a member of the 3rd Division, 30
Infantry Bn., Co. "I" when he was killed at the age of 20 at the Anzio
Beachhead in Italy during World War II. His sister Gladys died June 7, 2000
in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
